Energy efficiency

Buildings in the EU, including both residential and commercial properties, account for around 40% of total energy consumption and approximately 36% of greenhouse gas emissions. This presents a major challenge but also a critical opportunity for progress toward a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

EBC champions policies that highlight the social, economic, and environmental benefits of energy efficient buildings, through an easier access to public and private funding for SMEs and citizens. EBC works to address the costs, technical demands, and administrative hurdles of energy renovations, helping stakeholders benefit from energy-efficient upgrades.
