
Social dialogue at the European level includes discussions, consultations, and collaborative actions involving employer and worker organizations. These processes are crucial for a healthy economy at the sectoral, national, and European levels. The European Social Dialogue Committee for Construction (SSDC) was established in 1999 by FIEC and EFBWW.
In 2004, EBC sought recognition as a full sectoral social partner, aiming to represent SMEs and craftsmen more effectively. Since 2007, EBC has been included in the SSDC employers’ delegation and continues to advocate for an inclusive social dialogue that reflects evolving working conditions. EBC remains committed to becoming a full social partner in the SSDC for construction to better represent SMEs and craftsmen across Europe
