EBC 35th Anniversary Conference: draft agenda and registration available

September 1, 2025

EBC invites you to its 35th Anniversary Conference, taking place at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 from 10:00 to 13:00 CET.

At the heart of the event will be the presentation of the new study “EU micro companies in the construction sector: rising to the 2040 climate challenge”, developed in collaboration with the consultancy Climact. This forward-looking research examines how Europe’s micro construction companies and crafts are adapting to the green transition, while identifying the changes in skills, jobs, and business models that will shape the sector in the decades to come.

Under the theme “Small Construction Companies, Big Local Impact: a 2040 Vision for Construction SMEs and Crafts”, the conference will bring together policymakers, SME representatives, and industry stakeholders for exchanges on the evolving role of micro and small construction businesses in achieving the EU’s climate and energy goals.

Supported by the Employers’ group of the EESC, the European Urban Forum of the European Parliament and leading MEPs, this anniversary event will thus highlight the role of Europe’s micro and small construction companies in driving sustainability, innovation, and social value across the built environment.

More than a celebration of EBC’s past achievements, this anniversary event represents an opportunity to look ahead: ensuring that Europe’s construction micro companies and crafts are not only included in the green transition but are empowered to lead it.

Registration is required to attend. Please fill out the registration form to secure your place here. The event will count on interpretation in English, French and Italian. You are also invited to a networking lunch after the conference!
