Energy Efficiency: CondoReno partners meet in Antwerp to strengthen One-stop-shops role replicability for condominium renovation

September 22, 2025

On 12th September 2025, the partners of the CondoReno project gathered in Antwerp for the Steering Committee meeting, hosted at the city council house. The full-day session provided an opportunity to take stock of progress, showcase results, and prepare the next steps for advancing sustainable and integrated home renovations in condominiums across Europe.

Throughout the day, partners presented the final outcomes of several key deliverables, including toolkits designed to support decision-making by condominium associations, as well as training material for SMEs to activate the supply side of renovations. Attention was also given to requirements for guarantees and financial funds to better support homeowners.

The meeting further explored evaluation findings and policy recommendations from national and international advisory boards, alongside replication activities to ensure the uptake of solutions beyond pilot regions. Eight pilot projects were highlighted as proof of concept, with technical KPIs and co-creation activities confirming the project’s tangible contribution to Europe’s renovation wave.

In addition, digital solutions developed within project were showcased, aiming to facilitate decision-making processes and foster collaboration among stakeholders involved in condominium renovation. Project outreach activities and reporting alignments were also addressed to ensure effective dissemination and coordination.

Under this project, EBC is actively involved in drafting policy recommendations and organizing, in collaboration with the International Union of Property Owners (UIPI), the CondoReno International Advisory Board and ten international workshops. EBC has already carried out workshops co-organized with its members in Hungary, France and Croatia. The next sessions are planned in Romania, Slovakia and Poland, further strengthening the exchange of knowledge and best practices across Europe.
