Skills & Training

The construction industry faces a persistent shortage of skilled labour, compounded by a lack of interest from younger generations. As construction evolves with digitalization, sustainability, and new safety standards, continuous skills development is essential.

EBC supports work-based learning, vocational education, and training programs that integrate entrepreneurship, and advocates for greater involvement of SMEs in shaping skill requirements and apprenticeships. EBC also participates in EU projects aimed at anticipating and meeting the future skills and workforce needs of the construction sector.
