Vacancy notice: EBC Projects & Communication Officer

The European Builders Confederation (EBC) is the voice of construction crafts and SMEs in Europe, a European trade association composed of national associations, standing for construction micro, small and medium-sized companies before the European Institutions. With its offices in Brussels, we are looking for a pro-active and motivated Projects & Communications Officer.

Your profile

The successful candidate will be a motivated, talented, and flexible professional with at least 2 years of experience in the field of EU co-funded projects and communication. She/he has effective communication and digital skills (WordPress is a plus). He/she is fluent in English and French – both written and oral; Italian is an asset, like any other additional language.

She/he is an excellent team player and can oversee several projects at the same time. She/he is also capable of taking responsibility, showing ownership, and going beyond her/his tasks. The right candidate is familiar with the Brussels working environment and knows how to target the relevant audience.

Experience in Horizon 2020 and/or Erasmus+ projects is an asset, as are skilful writing skills and an ability to get to the point.

Your role

The person will be supporting the EBC Projects & Communication Manager. Reporting to the Secretary General, she/he will notably be assisting the office for the following tasks:

  • Managing and/or supporting EBC activities in EU co-funded projects
  • Supporting the EBC Secretariat on writing, editing and/or proofreading all communications material
  • Supporting EBC’s online presence including the website, newsletter and social media
  • Organising or supporting the organisation of events, such as conferences, webinars, annual congress, board meetings, seminars
  • When needed, representing EBC in external meetings in Brussels or abroad
  • Performing regular administrative tasks in support of the Secretariat’s daily work

What we offer

EBC offers a 1-year contract, with real possibilities of extension into a long-term contract, to the successful candidate. The gross monthly salary will be fixed according to professional experience. Lunch vouchers are also provided. The position respects a work-life balance, and awards satisfaction, responsibilities, and potential for growth to a resolute professional. EBC offers the possibility to partially work from home, though we expect Brussels to be your main location of work.

The starting date for the successful candidate is January/February, with some flexibility until March 2022.
