Buildings play a key role in achieving the aim of adapting to and mitigating climate change in the EU. Moreover, under the umbrella of the European Green Deal, the Renovation Wave is one of the ways chosen by the EU to restart our economy more sustainably after the pandemic. SMEs are the main actors in the construction sector. While some of them are clearly frontrunners when it comes to circularity, many still remain traditional SMEs with linear business models.
Embracing the green transition provides new opportunities and challenges for the traditional SMEs. They need information, guidance and technical assistance on how to embark on the sustainability journey.
This is why SMEunited and EBC started a cooperation with the EU LIFE Programme supporting SMEs in sustainable transition and gathered a list of hands-on tips to facilitate the first steps of SMEs in the construction sector towards becoming greener: the leaflet “Green Construction: How to become more sustainable in the construction sector, tips for SMEs from product development to operations on site”
Please save the date in your agenda for the webinar “Green best practices for construction SMEs and how the EU can support” launching this leaflet, which will take place on 12th October 2021, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Registered participants will receive an electronic copy of the leaflet. To download the agenda, CLICK HERE.
