After two and a half years of work, the NETconVET consortium met for the last time in the headquarters of the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción in Madrid on 15th January. Co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, NETconVET (Network for future innovation of major competences in Vocational Education and Training in construction) operated in order to further develop VET-business partnerships, raise awareness on digital construction and promote work-based learning, relying on training and construction experts.
At the occasion of this final meeting, the partners made a review of the findings from the 6 phases of research planned in the project and draw conclusions on how to better communicate about skills issues among construction stakeholders.
As usual, the NETconVET meeting was coupled with the “Conference on Project Development” event, held on 14th January, so that the two partnerships could further exchange ideas, discover potential areas for future collaboration and inform each other of their respective experiences in European and national projects in the field of skills in the construction sector.
Overall, the project provided the results expected at its completion. Not only did the project extend the network of the partners, but it also improved the understanding of partners on the topics covered (BIM, digitalisation in VET, work-based learning, and transition into, in and out of VET) and the mutual trust among training and business experts.
EBC would like to thank all partners and in particular the coordinator Bildungszentren des Baugewerbes Krefeld for the open exchanges of views shared along the project.
