Launched in October 2018, the EU co-funded project CONDAP – Digital Skills for Workplace Mentors in Construction Sector Apprenticeships recently celebrated its first year, and this is a good opportunity to sum up the work done so far and provide an update on the progress of the project.
CONDAP aims to enhance the digital skills of mentors within the construction industry to close the gap between training offers and employers’ expectations in the sector.
The partnership, from five European countries (UK, Greece, Lithuania, Spain and Belgium), finalized the evidence-based learning outcomes, which then lead to the establishment of three learning units. The partners are now progressing with the course curriculum and the development of relevant content for these units, which are the following:
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Construction – unit leader: Polytechnical University of Valencia, Spain.
- Digitalisation of Construction – unit leader: Vilnius Builders Training Centre VSRC, Lithuania.
- Organisational, Management & Communication Skills – unit leader: Instructus Skills, UK.
All educational resources (learning units, training manuals and materials) will be freely available online in the form of a Vocational Open Online Course (VOOC). For further information, please download the project presentation in English (or French) or visit the CONDAP website. |
