EBC selects new Secretary general

The European Builders Confederation (EBC) is pleased to announce that its Board has selected Eugenio Quintieri to be the new Secretary General for the Confederation.

Mr. Quintieri will succeed in this position Mr. Riccardo Viaggi, effective June 13, 2017.
Mr. Quintieri has been working as a Senior Policy Advisor with ESPO (the European Sea Ports Organization) since 2013 and he is the spokesperson of the ESPO Delegation in the European Social Dialogue. Mr. Quintieri holds a Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe and speaks English, Spanish, Italian and French.

Mr. Patrick Liébus, President of the EBC, said: “Eugenio has worked for an organisation operating at the highest level in Europe. The challenge is huge in terms of the task, but the Board and I are confident that he is the right person to lead EBC, and will ensure the best result for our Confederation; whilst leading an outstanding high quality team”.

Upon his appointment, Mr. Quintieri said: “Mr. Viaggi and his team have made great strides in transforming EBC. I am extremely honoured by this opportunity. It is a huge and exciting task, and I look forward to contributing to the future and the prosperity of the construction sector in Europe”.
