Today the FMB celebrated its 75th anniversary at a special reception in the House of Lords. The event celebrated the FMB’s proud history.
It looked back at the origins of the FMB, set up in July 1941 following the devastation of the London Blitz and the urgent need for small builders to be given the opportunity to rebuild the city. It also looked ahead to the path which the FMB and its members will forge in the decades to come.
Over 250 FMB members, industry friends, MPs and Lords attended.
EBC President Patrick Liébus and EBC Secretary General Riccardo Viaggi had the pleasure of attending the reception. In the wake of the British vote to leave the European Union, Patrick Liébus reaffirmed the ties and friendship that bind EBC and the FMB.
He also congratulated Gary Lewis on his appointment as the President-elect of FMB. Gary Lewis will take office on 10 September 2016.
