SME Assembly

The SME Assembly was created in 2012 as an official part of the governance structure of the Small Business Act Review. The SME Assembly brings together SMEs, business organisations, European Institutions, national and regional governments, academia and the media in order to discuss key issues for SMEs and exchange best practices to effectively enhance the further development of SMEs.

EBC has always been closely following these activities. For this reason, EBC takes part in the SME Assembly Sounding Board, which is the steering committee tasked with advising the European Commission about the planning of the event. Each year, EBC is also invited to provide speakers in one or more panels of discussions.
